Polar Bear

The Polar Bear is a great winter camping experience for all ability and age levels. We will be going camping, cross country skiing, and downhill skiing. Instruction will be provided for all skills practiced throughout the trip. And, as a plus, the Polar Bear will be a great opportunity for all of those looking for rank advancement. You will be able to practice the skills needed for Level One and Two, so that you can use them in the Trial of Fire in March. It will, all-in-all, be an awesome trip.

On Friday we will drive to Camp Greilick which is near Traverse City. Here we will go cross-country skiing and general winter camping. In addition to cross-country skiing we will go down-hill skiing at Mt Holliday. Because this is a winter trip warm clothing and gear is needed. There will be a gear check beforethe polar bear, but some things to especially remember are; a zero degree sleeping bag, and appropiate upper and lower layers.

To come on this trip you should have come on another Troop 8 overnight.
