Swimming is a very useful skill, it helps prevent you from drowning the instant you come in contact with water.
Over 70% of our planet's surface is water, so it's more likely than not that you could randomly end up in the middle of a large body of water. That would be very unfortunate if you were unable to swim; that's why we're here, to teach you how to swim.
Our meeting is going to be at Skyline Highschool, so don't come to the cafeteria unless you want to stand outside alone for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
There are many things that you should bring to this meeting to maximize your learning efficiency. These so called items include the following: swim suit, towel (you should always be carrying one of these anyways), and goggles (if you need/want them).
Tonight we are going to be testing your skills. It doesn't matter if you passed the swim test last year, because you get to take it again! YAY!!! After testing people, we will sort them into a couple of groups based on their skill level. If you pass the test, you will be moved into the swimming group where you work to get swimming merit badge. If you don't pass the test, you will be working on your swimming skills until you can pass it. For anyone wondering, this so called test includes the following: 75-yards of front sroke, 25-yards of a resting stroke, and floating on your back for 30 seconds.
Remember: You must come to these meetings if you want to join in on our water activites.
