Parent Volunteer Coordinator

The parent volunteer coordinator is our senior parent volunteer.  He or she helps the Scoutmaster recruit and organize other parent volunteers for various positions that need filling in the troop.  They also train parents who are new to positions or connect them with training they need. 

  • Manage and direct the work of parent volunteers.  
  • Ensure participation by all parents. 
  • Provide support and assistance for scouters and parent volunteers as needed. 
  • Call and preside over parent volunteer meetings as necessary to get work done.  
  • Work with scouters, COR, and parents to ensure that all volunteers are properly trained and prepared for their duties. 
  • Attend and participate in Troop Committee meetings. 
  • Requires training from outgoing PVC and SM.
