In accordance with Troop 8 tradition, the weather is not cooperating with us. After a week of gorgeous, 80-degree days and warm nights, a strong cold front is moving through, bringing wind-driven rain today and overnight temperatures in the mid 30's.
Since this is our first camping experience for all of our new scouts, we don't want to make this into a May Polar Bear. As a result we're postponing the Crossover Campout and will reschedule for May 18-19, following the Canoe Day.
Join us for our annual Crossover Campout! This is the event where all our Webelos will officially become new scouts! We'll be camping out at Hudson Mills Group Camp area, just north of Ann Arbor. There will be food and fun stuff to do until dark, when we'll have a huge bonfire ceremony to welcome in our new members. Parents are welcome to stay the whole time and/or come for the bonfire (usually around 8:45pm). We'll have tents and shelter for new scouts. We strongly encourage new scouts to stay the night with us.
