The biking day will be an awesome way to evalute everyone's biking skills. We will look at everyone's biking abilities on roads and on a trail at Olson park which has a large loop around a lake and good beginner trails. Don't despair if your biking skills are rusty or if you don't know how, because after evaluating everyone we will be able to do instruction based on skill level.
After lunch we will head out to Gallup park on a series of roads and then a biking trail that follows the river. People that need further training will not come to Gallup park, but will stay at Olson park and receive further instruction. At Gallup park we will ride around next to or near the river and take a break.
Everyone should bring a waterbottle and possibly raingear. Lunch will be provided (hot dogs or veggie burgers). Bring money just in case. Most importantly, a bike is needed, if you don't have a bike or yours didn't pass the bike check contact Shane Steinl and he MAY be able to set you up with a bike. If you have a bike that may be able to fit someone in the troop and will not fit you also contact Shane Steinl. Note: we will not be bike checking bikes on Saturday, if you have a bike that hasn't been checked contact Jack Wallace.
