This weekend, patrol G will be going to Red River Gorge (sorry A, D, E, and F, but you're not good enough for us). Why should you come on this trip? Firstly, it's only one of the coolest trips that we have planned this year. It only includes several cliffs that offer amazing views, and there's a small bit of climbing (yes Fred, there is climbing, but it isn't anything much). Also, there are some pretty cool landmarks in the area that we're planning on going to explore. One of these places includes a huge arch called Gray's arch. There, a man sacrificed his life to prevent a fire. What a true American hero just like Leif Erikson. Another of these places include double arch. Who needs double rainbows when you have a double arch? The only thing better would be a double rainbow and a double arch. Finally, there's a small treat at the end of this trip that includes pizza and a soda that will hook you on and is only available in the Kentucky area (sure is a good thing that our national government is strong enough to prevent trade restrictions between states *cough*Articles of Confederation*cough*). With such amazing factors that are included in this trip, you shouldn't have much of a reason not to come.
There aren't many things that you need for this trip. Bears have been known to be in the area, so I would recommend your strongest bear repellent. Also, there is a small amount of hiking to be done, so you should bring a daypack that you are comfortable hiking in. If you want extra ale 8 to smuggle home or to just drink at Miguel's, you should bring a little extra cash.
There aren't any requirements except for being in patrol G, as that would defeat the purpose of the patrol G trip.
To be nice to you guys, I added some pictures of Red River Gorge so you can see how beautiful it is. I'm not sure what the one on the left is, but I think it may be courthouse rock. The one on the right is double arch.
