Like a phoenix rises from the ashes of its newly dead body, these three trips rise from the ashes of the normal Polar Bear campout. These trips are designed to give the winter camping experience, within the comfort of one's own patrol. This will be the only opportunity to experience winter camping this year, so come out; it's really cool! (badumtish)
Although this trip seems less intimidating than the Polar Bear at first glance, it is still a formidable winter campout, so scouts should still be prepared to dress warm and eat a metric crapton of delicious fatty foods such as cheese and deepfried butter.
Patrol A will be returning to Brighton state park, which is convenient due to its proximity to the Ski Day on that weekend, where the camping patrol will meet up with the rest of the troop in order to have some fun skiing with the other patrols.
It is recommended that scouts go to their patrol's trip, however we at the PLC know that this is not always possible. If necessary, scouts might be able to go with another patrol, however sticking with their patrol is better. Talk to your patrol leader if you absolutely need to do a different weekend and we'll see if we can work it out.
