Every four years, something so big, so magnanimous happens. It's such a big part of our lives, that it's hard to imagine living without it. It makes one day a day you look greatly forward to, for it won't happen for another four long years, and there's nothing you can do to make it come quicker.
This aforementioned day, of course, is Leap Day. Without it, February would be like July, and October like March. This is clearly an awesome day which should be celebrated with a party, right? Well, according to the adults, we needed something a bit more "educational". So, I did a quick google search, and turns out that there was another day in which the natives of this odd country engage in a peculiar ritual in which they choose their leader based on how many shapes light up in either red or blue on the TV screen. Very strange, very strange. But, apparently this day is not only "educational," but is also somewhat of a "big deal".
So, join us for a night of fun, food, and heated political arguments leading to food splattered on certain parts of the anatomy, as we watch while the fate of our country for the next four years is decided by 200,000,000 Americans. We will be meeting in the Cafeteria, and we would like people to bring these following items:
Patrols A and D: Drinks, such as : Soda, milk, water, liquid nitrogen, fortified apple juice, defenseless apple juice, or sparkling pomegranate martinis, on the rocks, shaken, not stirred.
Patrols EFG: Snacks, such as : Chips, cookies, brownies, garlic bread, large chunks of beef, free samples, enslaved samples, or a fat-free red banana souffle with a lemon zest garnish a la mode
Patrol Z- Materials for eating, such as: Paper plates, plastic silverware, silver plasticware, cups, napkins, inflatable bowties, or imported French tempered steel reversible wineglasses Australian style.
